ZAOUIA COOPERATIVE

​The Zaouia Cooperative was founded in 1978. With over 3,000 hectares of citrus plantations, it is now a significant contributor to the exports of the Souss Massa region, which alone accounts for 77% of Moroccan exports. The Souss region is the leading area in Morocco for citrus production, with a cultivation area exceeding 40,000 hectares.

The farms of the Zaouia Cooperative are located in the Sebt El Guerdane region in the province of Taroudant. Covering an area of 16,500 km², Taroudant is the third-largest province in the Souss region and consists of 40% fertile plains. The agriculture in this area is characterized by the production of citrus fruits, sweet corn, olives, argan oil, saffron, and much more. Thanks to the favorable climate, the Souss Massa region is undoubtedly the land of citrus fruits and vegetables.
